ProgrammExample of a programme for a stay 7 days/ 6 nights/ 5 hiking days:

Day 1: Welcome in Kaysersberg, mediaeval city dominated by the imposing imperial castle and birthplace of Dr. Albert Schweitzer, or at Kientzheim, ancient fortified town surrounded by ramparts in the middle of the vineyards.
Day 2: Saint Alexis, the green village, and Lapoutroie, renowned for its brandies and Munster cheese (6 hours / 20km/ + 750m / - 540m ).
Day 3: The Brézouard massif, northern limit of the High Vosges (1229m), the Bagnenelles and the mountain village of Le Bonhomme (6 hours / 14km/ + 810m / - 550m).
Day 4: Etang du Devin, a bog which is a home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Orbey by way of the Tête des Faux, a front line of the First World War and the impressive Lac Blanc, surrounded by glacial cliffs and dominated by a strange rock called « Château Hans » (6 hours / 16km/ + 530m / - 690m).
Day 5: The rocky stones "Pierres Tremblantes" used for druids cult. Labaroche, the most extensive mountain village in France and the feudal castle from the 11th century (4 hours / 11km / + 450m / - 200m).
Day 6: Trois-Épis a famous pilgrimage sind the 15 century. Turckheim, Niedermorschwihr a village nestling in the heart of the vineyards and a twisted bell tower from the 12th century (4 hours / 12km / + 210m/ - 680m).
Day 7: End of the trip after breakfast.

  • 12 to 20 km per stage or 4 to 6 hours walking per day.
  • From 500-800 metres height differences.
  • In case of bad weather or physical problem, there is a possibility to catch the next stopover by car with luggage.

  • Children in the parents room: free from 0 to 2, -50% from 3 to 11(Children menu), triple room price with children from 12 or more.
  • An extra can be asked in some hotel for guests with their dog. This information is necessary at the booking.
